Harden Shire Council's Technical Services section is responsible for providing and maintaining:
- sealed and unsealed local road networks
- town and village water supplies
- sewer and grey water reuse systems
- parks, playgrounds, gardens and sporting ovals
- waste services
- stormwater and drainage.
In addition to the abovementioned, this section is also responsible for the South West Regional Waste Management Groups trailer fleet.
The Technical Services section manages the local airstrip, cemeteries and council depot, including fleet, and provide a number of services to the Harden Shire residents, including:
- flood management
- emergency services
- plans and mapping.
Road related services also extend into neighbouring areas and these include:
- Bitumen resurfacing
- Kerb and gutter construction
