Nominations for Australia Day Awards are now open and will be received up until Monday 21 December, 2009.

The 2010 Australia Day celebrations and awards ceremony will be held at Newson Park, Harden.  A breakfast in the park is planned for the morning with the awards ceremony to follow this.  

The Harden Shire Australia Day awards offer us the opportunity to recognise and honour our fellow community members who contribute so much to the wellbeing of our communities.

Categories include:

•Citizen of The Year
•Young Citizen of The Year
•Senior Citizen of The Year
•Community Involvement in Sport
•Towncare Award- Beautification of a public area

Written nomiations should be delivered to either Lorraine Brown or Mayor Chris Manchester before the closing date.
