Environmental Health and Building Officer
The successful applicant will be required to work with limited supervision to support the Director of Environmental Services, to carry out a diverse range of Environmental, Health and Building functions.
Applicants will preferably possess an Associate Diploma (Health and Building Surveying) or Bachelor of Applied Science (Environmental Health) or equivalent qualification, with a Statement of Attainment in Building Surveying or equivalent. While previous experience with Local Government Health and Building functions would be an advantage, Council would be prepared to consider an outstanding undergraduate with limited experience.
Council is offering an attractive salary package up to $70,000 plus superannuation. Negotiations may be made outside this range for outstanding applicants. A leaseback vehicle and partially furnished house may also be available to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Council operates a 35 hour week incorporating a nine day fortnight.
