Cleaning of watermains - 18 November 2009
Mineral deposits such as iron and manganese, aged unlined cast iron mains and the general settling out of any dirt residue have long plagued the residents connected to the reticulation systems within Harden Shire Council area. Discoloured water, stains on clothing from washing and stains on plumbing fixtures are all common consequences of deposits remaining in water mains.

Sporting Fields
Six sporting fields are located within the Harden Shire. If you would like to book a sporting field in Harden, being either Mclean Oval, Tim Doolan Oval or Roberts Park please contact Council. Fees apply when hiring these ovals, please confirm these with the customer service staff when making your booking. For ovals located within the villages of Galong, Wombat and Jugiong please contact the applicable progress association for booking information.
